Angie studies communication studies with a specialization in computing at UCLA. She previously worked as news editor and assistant photo editor at the Daily Bruin, and as education beat reporter for her hometown paper, the Tri-City Voice. In 2015, she was part of a team that travelled across the nation to report on access to higher education for undocumented students. She is also a freelance writer and photographer.
