AAJA Announces Participants for 2015 VOICES Program

VOICES is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2015 at the 25th annual AAJA National Convention in San Francisco, CA August 12 – 15. For more than two decades, VOICES has had a long track record of placing alumni and mentors in jobs with national and international media, including the Dallas Morning News, National Public Radio, the Wall Street Journal and the Huffington Post.

This year, students will also have an opportunity to engage in premium training opportunities from journalism professionals, as well as experience a convention program in the city of AAJA’s national headquarters.

VOICES is a valuable leadership and mentoring program that aims to increase diversity in journalism by providing job-ready candidates for hiring media employers. Through the week-long news operation held at the AAJA convention, VOICES provides key learning opportunities for aspiring young journalists through mentorship with media professionals.

Students are able to participate in the program free of charge, thanks to the support of our sponsors. If you or your company would like to contribute, please visit AAJA’s PayPal site and designate “VOICES” in your contribution under “add special instructions”  or contact Ruth Liao at ruthlessliao@gmail.com for sponsorship opportunities.
